When will I get my tickets?
All tickets are despatched from the Opera House. Those of you who use our Priority Booking system will be given an approximate date in the letter we send advising your position in the Priority Draw.
How do I know where I am on the Priority Draw List?
We will write to all individuals within four days of the draw taking place to advise them of their position.
I am unhappy with my seats. What can I do?
If you are very unhappy with your seating please contact the box office staff on 01298 72190 or email boxoffice@buxtonopera.co.uk
Where is the Paxton Theatre?
Paxton Theatre is located 100 yards away from the Opera House. Walk up Water Street at the side of the Opera House, past the Stage Door and there is an entrance just above on the left hand side. Alternatively walk through the park, past the Pavilion Gardens and the entrance is just on your right.
What is the dress code for the theatre?
The dress code for the Opera House is smart casual.
My friends always get newsletters but I don’t always receive them. Why?

What is a Pot Luck Show?
We operate half a dozen “Pot Luck “ shows during the course of the Festival as part of the late night Festival Club activities. Pre-selected singers take the principal roles with everyone else singing the chorus numbers. The shows are conducted by the Festival Musical Director.
Some of the rehearsals are held at Trinity Church in Buxton. Where is this?
The full address of the church is Trinity Church, Hardwick Mount, Buxton SK17 6PR.
The church building is situated by Trinity Passage just off Hardwick Mount.
What will the weather be like at that time of year in England?
Many of our overseas visitors ask us this question and it is certainly a tricky one. We always recommend a raincoat, umbrella and warm jacket, but on the other hand we often have brilliant sunshine and temperatures soaring into the 80s. We suggest you are prepared and sorry not to be able to be more helpful!
